Assembling the Chassis
Steering Servo
Chassis assembly begins by attaching the steering servo and connecting the steering tie-rods to it.
Velcro
Instead of using double-sided foam tape from the kit, sticky-back Velcro was used to line a portion of the chassis top edge. This is the area the Radio Receiver gets attached to. Velcro will allow easy relocation of the Reciever, either on this model or onto another.
Illustration from the Manual
Both halves of the chassis rail come together to sandwich the steering servo.
Completed Chassis Assembly
The Radio Receiver and Electronic Speed Control are fixed to the Velcro. Before completing this step, take a look at an alternate solution on the Upgrades page.
