Four dampers (shock absorbers) need to be built.

Dampening is performed by forcing a flanged piston through a greased rubber tube. R/C kits costing two or three times this kit often include more realistic shock absorbers that use oil and adjustable valving. It's possible to replace the dampers in this kit with aftermarket oil-filled shocks.

The dampers are attached to the suspension arms. The suspension travel is sufficient for an on-road car like this.
